Last month i came across a few statistics related to my country.
India’s hunger is often considered shameful across the world and India is considered the Hunger capital of the world.
3,000 children die daily due to illnesses related to poor diets. Subsidized carbohydrate-rich foods that fuel and fill the poor rather than truly nourishing them and real shortages in its poorest states have worsened the problem. According to UNICEF, 66 children out of every 1000 die due to lack of food.
1.1 billion Population of this country goes to sleep HUNGRY
40% of India is illiterate and we are currently facing the worst educational crisis due to high dropout rate of children’s from the school. They leave behind their schooling and work to provide additional economic help to the families.
The issue of child labor is considered India’s hidden shame. 17 million children in India are child labors. This is pretty shameful. 90% working children are in rural India
All this figures were very shameful as well as shocking. I am not sure for how long i am in this country and soon would fly but my love for this nation would never die. Social Work was always in my priority but till now i preferred working for animals rather than humans. This statistics were like an eye opener and that’s when i decided to wuit my current job and do something that serves the society in some way. I am not getting a higher pay like my previous work, but the satisfaction i get is incredible.
Never say “No”, “Not Now”, “I have nothing to give”
Look deep inside you and you have lots to give
Time has been one of the greatest gifts ever
After all we make living by what we get
But we make LIFE by what we give
