Why Spain? Oh yes it has to be Spain!

The Wanderer

Long time back when is started making my bucket list, the first country i noted down as a place i wanted to visit before i die was SPAIN. There’s not one or two places that i want to see there but its the place as a whole.

A few days back i even wrote about one of the things off my bucketlist – Here (ghosh, i really wanna play with tomatoes)

oh!! those are  my legs..chilling at Coral Island, Thailand!! Those design on my legs is “mehendi (hena) which is done while marrying. This is my honeymoon pic which was like 5 days after marriage.

Spain is one of Europe’s most diverse countries, historically, culturally, gastronomically and geographically.
While some people prefer to go skiing in the Winter months, others prefer to sunbathe on the coast. Not many countries can offer both options during the same month, but Spain can. There’s not one place that i want to see there but a whole bunch of list and to name a few:

Cathedral–Mosque of Córdoba

Cave of Altamira

Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar

Sagrada Família

Beach of La Concha

And it goes on….. I see it as a beautiful destination undercover.

I remember when is started writing about my wishes i even had a point

DATE A SPANISH BOY” …Lol ❤ , i always found them more attractive than the rest of the world but before i got to know any Spanish boy in person i got married to an Indian boy whom i adore equally. Spain or “Espana” (n with a curvy accent denoting “y” )  as they call it is a part of European union.

Iberia enters written records as a land populated largely by the Iberians, Basques and Celts. After an arduous conquest, the peninsula came under the rule of Rome. During the early Middle Ages it came under Germanic rule but later, much of it was conquered by Moorish invaders from North Africa. In a process that took centuries, the small Christian kingdoms in the north gradually regained control of the peninsula. The last Moorish kingdom fell in the same year Columbus reached the Americas. A global empire began which saw Spain become the strongest kingdom in Europe, the leading world power for a century and a half, and the largest overseas empire for three centuries.

Continued wars and other problems eventually led to a diminished status. The Napoleonic invasions of Spain led to chaos, triggering independence movements that tore apart most of the empire and left the country politically unstable. Prior to the Second World War, Spain suffered a devastating civil war and came under the rule of an authoritarian government, whose rule oversaw a period of stagnation but that finished with a powerful economic surge. Eventually democracy was peacefully restored in the form of a parliamentary constitutional monarchy. Spain joined the European Union, experiencing a cultural renaissance and steady economic growth.

Spain also hosts one of the largest festivals in the world. The Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, which attracts up to a million tourists for the July week long celebration.”

So the whole point is,  i am dying to visit this place. This is like my dearest wish.

  1. You got your History right, I know more about American History than that of my own country.
    Mosque of Cordoba-Obiously in Cordoba.
Cave of Altamira- Cantabria in Santander.
Basilica of your lady el pilar-In Zaragoza.
    Sagrada Familia- Barcelona in Catluña.
Beach la Conch-San Sebastian in the Vasc country.

You chose quite some nice places, been myself in three of them…Beach la concha, Sagrada Familia, and the Mosque of Cordoba.

About the running of the bulls…did it also, but that was when I was 18 and you forgot something very unique, it´s called “La fiesta de la tomatina” You´d have fun if you come visit and see how it is La Tomatina.

      1. Is not abruptly, I didn´t know what you meant, so I was just asking.
